About Leo
Hi, my name is Leo Tijerina, a Christian artist from San Antonio Texas, but I haven't always lived for God — I used to sell drugs, but Jesus changed my life, and now I paint for Him. When I was 19yrs old my best friend I grew up with died from a drug overdose and my life changed. I'm now 38 years old and realize that God uses difficult circumstances like death and life struggles for good. I'm now a husband and a dad of five, working two jobs and painting every chance I get, hoping to do this full-time one day, God willing. Every painting is my way of sharing what God has done for me.

“Christ Crucified”
1 Corinthians 1:23 — "but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,"
Jesus on the cross, painted in blue and red with the crown of thorns. The painting is a bold statement of who we are in Christ, we are people of the cross. We understand that without the cross there is no salvation. The blue symbolizes what cannot be changed, Gods law and his holiness. The red represents sin and sacrifice, that Christ has became sin and paid our debt and took our penalty we deserve. His death and resurrection is what we proclaim. We are free from sin and death because Christ has overcome sin and death

"The King's Horse"
Revelation 19:11
"And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war."
A white horse, standing ready. This painting stems from Revelation 19:11-16. The white horse is heaven's war horse. The white for purity and victory, pictured alone because the return it points to is certain, the horse awaits for the King
